Due to the demands of having products and services available on time and in the right way, it is essential to establish an efficient and modern supply chain management system that not only considers quality and price as the main indicators but also incorporates globalization demands such as social responsibility, environmental, and health and safety indicators. To establish an appropriate management model considering the aforementioned indicators, it was necessary to develop a methodological strategy based on a descriptive study, analyzing the amounts paid in 2020 to 248 suppliers that make up the active supplier base of the western regional branch of Mexico. Using data obtained from the SAP (System, Applications, Products) enterprise resource planning tool, 222 suppliers were surveyed, and information was collected that allowed for an understanding of the current interaction of the indicators under investigation, creating a starting point for the development of a custom management model for CM. The results indicate that the quality indicator was 83%, environmental and social responsibility 59%, and health and safety 63%.
2024-06-28T00:00:00-05:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Business Vision https://revistasdigitales.uniboyaca.edu.co/index.php/viem/article/view/1368 Leadership, Motivation, and Communication in a Tamarind Pulp Agribusiness 2024-10-18T13:57:15-05:00 Carlos Hugo Barragán Vázquez carloshb@ucol.mx Rubí Osegueda Rodríguez rosegueda@ucol.mx
The relationship between leadership, communication, and motivation has been widely recognized. It has been demonstrated that there is a direct connection between the type of leadership exercised by managers and the motivation of their employees. The objective of this study was to analyze the relationship between leadership dimensions and their influence on employee motivation and communication in a tamarind pulp agribusiness in a rural community in Mexico. A cross-sectional study was conducted with the agribusiness staff. The sample included all the workers (40), who were administered a specially designed survey that included the mentioned variables. The results showed that leadership significantly and positively influences employee motivation and communication. These findings suggest that leadership is a factor that affects organizational performance, even in small and medium-sized enterprises, indicating its impact on organizational design and strategy.
2024-06-28T00:00:00-05:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Business Vision https://revistasdigitales.uniboyaca.edu.co/index.php/viem/article/view/1369 Managerial Perspective and Entrepreneurship in a Blueberry Agribusiness 2024-10-18T14:09:28-05:00 María de los Dolores Santarriaga Pineda msantarr@ucol.mx Francisco Carlos Soto Ramírez fsotoram@ucol.mx Omar Alejandro Pérez Cruz omar_perez@ucol.mx
The company Mora Agroindustrias S.P.R. de R.L., located in the municipality of Tonila, Jalisco, is dedicated to the production and commercialization of berries, such as cranberries and blueberries. The associative model followed by the company has not allowed it to consolidate competitively; for this reason, identifying a business model aligned with its activities and goals has become a priority. The objective of this study is to determine the relationship between the components of entrepreneurship and their influence on the business vision. The hypothesis to be tested is whether entrepreneurship significantly influences the business vision of the company. The methodology used was a non-experimental, cross-sectional design with a correlational scope. The survey technique was employed through a questionnaire that covered the variables under study: entrepreneurship and managerial vision. The main results show that there is a significant and positive relationship between the variables of entrepreneurial spirit (EE), risk management (GR), proactive behavior (CP), and the strategic thinking variable. This indicates a statistically significant and considerable relationship between the dimension of entrepreneurship and managerial vision in the company Mora Agroindustrias.
2024-06-28T00:00:00-05:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Business Vision https://revistasdigitales.uniboyaca.edu.co/index.php/viem/article/view/1370 Sustainable Beekeeping: A Proposed Model for Apicaldas 2024-10-18T14:20:07-05:00 Hermes Castro Fajardo hcastro@uniboyaca.edu.co Lina María Otálora Gómez lmotalora@uniboyaca.edu.co
Beekeeping is a fundamental activity in the community, making its sustainable development essential through proper management in social, economic, and environmental domains. This study aims to design a sustainable beekeeping model for farmers in Caldas – Boyacá, characterized by their current low productivity. The methodology begins with the characterization of local beekeepers, comparing their indicators with those obtained at the national and Latin American levels. Based on this analysis, a model is proposed focusing on three main pillars: improving relationships with the community (social sustainability), promoting the planting of melliferous plants (environmental sustainability), and applying good beekeeping practices (economic sustainability). The proposal includes, firstly, an economic strategy based on the implementation of good beekeeping practices to increase productivity and bee docility. Secondly, an environmental strategy is proposed, diversifying agricultural activity by planting melliferous plants with commercial potential and obtaining diverse and high-value beekeeping products. Finally, the importance of social sustainability is emphasized by improving the relationship with the community to prevent negative reactions or the irresponsible use of pesticides. These changes in Apicaldas could lead to the development of a profitable beekeeping activity with significant positive impacts on society and the environment.
2024-06-28T00:00:00-05:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Business Vision https://revistasdigitales.uniboyaca.edu.co/index.php/viem/article/view/1371 Time Management at a Mexican University: Validity and Reliability of an Instrument 2024-10-18T14:35:13-05:00 Rogelio Pinto Pérez rogepipe@ucol.mx José de Jesús Amezcua-Vivas jose.amezcua@colima.tecnm.mx
The impact of time management by students is reflected in their academic performance. Evaluating time management (TM) serves as an indicator that can reveal various aspects of student development. Although instruments have been designed to measure this concept, no instruments specifically designed in Mexico have been validated; only replications of foreign scales exist. For this reason, this study aims to validate a TM questionnaire in a census of first-year students (64 men and 99 women) from two university programs (Public Accounting and Administration) in Mexico. Data were collected using the specially designed Time Management Scale (TMS). Exploratory factor analysis techniques were applied. The validation in Mexico demonstrated reliability regarding the grouping of factors and the factor loading of each item. An acceptable reliability (α = 0.786, n = 165) was achieved. In conclusion, it was determined that the TMS is an instrument with the appropriate psychometric characteristics for use with Mexican university students.
2024-06-28T00:00:00-05:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Business Vision https://revistasdigitales.uniboyaca.edu.co/index.php/viem/article/view/1361 Analysis of Methodology for Project Management in Non-Governmental Organizations and Non-Profit Institutions 2024-10-18T11:52:58-05:00 Óscar Javier Pérez Ruiz oscperez@uniboyaca.edu.co Angela Marcela Cely Andrade angcely@uniboyaca.edu.co
This situation contrasts with that of its English-speaking counterpart, from which the terms e-branding, personal branding, online personal branding, social media personal branding, among others, are derived. In Spanish, analogous terms include digital personal branding, digital identity, digital reputation, and more. Additionally, in evaluating this phenomenon, we have lagged behind in terms of the analytical methods used. Given that the variable is inherently multidimensional, it is necessary to promote the use of more sophisticated statistical analyses, such as second-generation multivariate modeling techniques. Therefore, we aim to contribute to the review of the status quo of Spanish-speaking academic production on female personal e-branding and the use of analytical techniques, identified through bibliographic analysis and comparison with English-speaking production. The methodology used for the search and location of biblio-electronic sources was primarily based on databases, search engines, and virtual catalogs, with EBSCOHost©, Elsevier©, Emerald©, Redalyc©, Scielo©, and Dialnet©.
2024-06-28T00:00:00-05:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Business Vision https://revistasdigitales.uniboyaca.edu.co/index.php/viem/article/view/1367 Alternative Distinctions Linking Corporate Social Responsibility for Mexican Companies 2024-10-18T13:36:43-05:00 Karen Iriana Galván Vázquez karen.galvan.fca@uas.edu.mx María del Carmen Monarres Alderete maria.monarres@uas.edu.mx Flor de la Cruz Salaiza Lizárraga flor.sl@culiacan.tecnm.mx María de los Ángeles Cervantes Rosas maria.cervantes@udo.mx
Corporate social responsibility (CSR) enables organizations to establish trust with their stakeholders, thereby enhancing their reputation and corporate image. In Mexico, the Mexican Center for Philanthropy (CEMEFI) remains the leading organization promoting CSR by providing methodologies that improve business operations for the benefit of the social context and by rewarding such practices. The aim of this article is to identify and analyze the alternative distinctions that link Mexican companies to CSR. To achieve this, a qualitative documentary research was conducted, identifying 48 alternative distinctions, 19 of which are described in detail. The results show that various recognition formats, including awards, certifications, and rankings, allow companies to position themselves as socially responsible. It is concluded that the social dimension of CSR is the most valued, surpassing the environmental and economic dimensions.
2024-06-28T00:00:00-05:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Business Vision
